Large-scale Russian Assaults Cut Power Across Kyiv

Energy infrastructure targeted in Ukraine
Ukraine's energy systems have come under escalating attacks in the past few days

Overnight, Moscow's aerial assaults have resulted in power cuts in extensive areas of the capital city, Kyiv.

Several individuals were wounded while local people in eastern neighborhoods were plunged into darkness and dealt with problems to drinking water, according to city officials.

Simultaneously, a seven-year-old child was killed in a different aerial attack in the southeastern region in the southern area, as reported by area administrators.

Russian forces has increased attacks on energy facilities over the past few days, while Ukrainian leadership has requested "real steps" from partner nations to apply pressure on Russia.

"What's needed is not window dressing but strong steps - from the United States, European nations and the major economies - in providing defensive weapons and enforcing sanctions," mentioned in a social media post.

Authorities reported that 450 drones and over thirty missiles attacked Ukraine's energy infrastructure, describing such assaults as "cynical and calculated" and against "essential services" as the weather cools.

Energy officials said Russia was "inflicting a massive strike" and maintenance teams were laboring to fix the damage.

A barrage of missiles damaged energy infrastructure and residential structures in Kyiv.

Several of the people injured in the attacks on the capital have been hospitalized, as confirmed by city authorities.

Area administrators said the metropolitan region endured heavy assaults overnight. A minor was killed and multiple civilians were hurt.

The strikes follow nights of air raids in the area, parts of which are currently controlled by invading troops.
